Susan Folker, LMHC, PMH-BC

Susan Folker is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse. She provides compassionate, patient-centered care for adults navigating emotional, behavioral, and life-stage concerns.

Sue earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2006. She later completed the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Florida State University in 2018 and became a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse in 2022.

Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions—including retirement—women’s health, and geriatric mental health. Sue works with adults ages 25 through 80 and older, tailoring care to each client’s individual experiences, goals, and stage of life.

Originally from Birmingham, Michigan, Sue has an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for nature. For more than 30 years, she and her husband have enjoyed hiking mountain trails and exploring natural streams throughout Tennessee and North Carolina. Her love of the outdoors has remained an important source of strength and resilience, including during her experience with breast cancer.
