Born and raised in Tallahassee, Terrie earned both her BSN and MSN degrees from Florida A&M University, her doctorate from the University of Florida, and psychiatric certification from George Washington University. Her capstone and research focused on depression and mental health stigma in African-American communities. Clinically, she specializes in treating anxiety and depression, with certifications as both an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner (ages 13+) and a psychiatric nurse practitioner (across the lifespan), though she primarily works with adults.
Active in her community, Terrie regularly leads workshops and speaks on mental health topics, especially stigma, anxiety, and depression, and has presented at state-wide conferences. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting and designs shoes, clothing, and ties in her free time.
