Sara was born and raised in Tallahassee and received both her undergraduate nursing degree (BSN) and advanced training from Florida State University (FSU). After working in Labor and Delivery at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH) for three years, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at FSU and spent 19 years practicing in pediatrics. She later pursued additional certification in psychiatry at FSU and has been serving in her current psychiatric role since 2021. Drawing on years of pediatric experience, Sara enjoys caring for children, adolescents, and young adults as they begin to navigate adulthood. Her clinical work encompasses a broad range of conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Sara also participates in animal-assisted therapy with her dog, Theo, visiting the adolescent unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Behavioral Health Center through the hospital volunteer program.
