Lauren Wilson, M.D.

Dr. Lauren Wilson specializes in treating patients ages 3 and up, with advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, and completed her psychiatry residency at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA, where she received the “Resident Teacher of the Year” Award during her internship. Dr. Wilson further trained in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Carilion/Virginia Tech in Roanoke, VA, completing her fellowship in December 2023. Her diverse clinical experience includes work at Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, VA, across inpatient, partial hospitalization, and eating disorder units, and she served as Medical Director of Neuromodulation at Bloom Health Centers in Arlington, VA. Dr. Wilson’s clinical interests span neurodivergence, trauma effects, dissociative and conversion symptoms, somatization disorders, and women’s health—including adolescent eating and substance use disorders. Academically, she is affiliated with the University of Central Florida (UCF) residency program. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Dr. Wilson is passionate about education and global experiences—she spent a year teaching English in Martinique, French West Indies, and lived in the Caribbean for three years. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and watersports and is proud to have deep family roots in the Tallahassee area.
