Katie is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 22 years of psychiatric nursing experience. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Most of Katie’s career has focused on acute mental health care, where she has assessed and coordinated treatment for children, adolescents, and adults as part of a multidisciplinary team. She also helped develop and direct Tallahassee’s first Deep TMS treatment center, the Tallahassee Brain Stimulation Center, gaining extensive experience in providing and managing transcranial magnetic stimulation treatments. Katie currently serves adult patients ages 18 and older. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her Labrador retrievers.
