Dr. Wadsworth holds dual board certifications in general adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. After finishing medical school and residency training at the University of Florida, he then completed subspecialty fellowship training in forensic psychiatry at the University of California, Davis. While in California, he served as the chief psychiatrist at San Quentin State Prison. For over 15 years, Dr. Wadsworth has continuously served as the attending physician of acute/emergency psychiatry units and consult/liaison psychiatry services. He maintains an active interest in teaching, currently serving as professor of psychiatry at the University of Central Florida and at the University of California, San Francisco. Born and raised in Florida, Dr. Wadsworth is delighted to have returned to his home-state to join the team at WellStead Mental Health in 2023.
