Nicholas McKinnon, MD is a Florida- and New York-licensed psychiatrist who cares for adults 18 and older, with a clinical focus on mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders. He received his Doctor of Medicine with honors from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. McKinnon is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and serves as an affiliate professor of psychiatry at the Florida State University College of Medicine. Outside of his clinical and academic work, he is a musician who plays several instruments and enjoys studying French and Spanish. A former U.S. Air Force officer, he considers New Orleans, Louisiana, his hometown.
